2018 BHG Homebrewer of the Year
Congratulations to Darin Hamm, Winner of the 2018 Bellingham Homebrewers Guild Homebrewer of the Year!
Darin represented the club with a huge number of entries into external competitions this year and was rewarded with a lot of hardware to show for it. In the Puyallup Fair Homebrew Competition, Darin submitted 14 entries and received 13 medals! His accomplishments this year have truly shown clubs all over the Northwest that we have some great brewers up here in Bellingham. Darin’s prize for winning Homebrewer of the Year is a collaboration brew with Menace Brewing, who have been a great supporter of our club. Please make sure to stop by for a pint when Darin’s beer is tapped (date to be announced later), and thank them for their support along with celebrating Darin’s accomplishment.
This year we also had a runner-up Homebrewer of the Year, who kept on Darin’s tail all year long and won an outstanding number of club competitions both in people’s choice and BJCP judging.
Congratulations Corey Geerdts for an outstanding year of brewing and being another great ambassador for the club with your entries into external competitions! Corey amassed over 20 points more than the 3rd place competitor and for his awesome year of brewing he has won a KegCo Faucet and Regulator package. Way to go Corey!
