AHA Big Brew 2018 – Sunday May 6
It’s time again! The Big Brew! This event marks National Homebrew Day every year. This year we will celebrate Sunday May 6th. The BHG will be hosting a Big Brew in Chris Brehm’s yard with an extra bonus, a wort share hosted by Menace Brewing!
That’s right. Menace Brewing is generously offering wort fresh from the tun! So bring a vessel to the brewery Saturday morning. Limit per person is up to 13 gallons and we need a commitment from brewers who will take wort so Menace can tailor their recipe.
Menace wort recipe:
- OG: 1.055
- 90% two row (pale or Marris)
- 7% Vienna
- 3% Wheat
Be at Menace before noon to claim your wort. We are then invited to Chris’ house to turn this liquid gold into any beer we like. Bring your setup and any combination of hops, yeast, etc you want. Freestyle after the initial wort!
On top of that, this is a fantastic opportunity to come out and brew in a social setting. We can share our different equipment/processes/techniques and learn a ton. It’s open to the public and brewing is not required, so come hang out and see what people are doing and share a homebrew with us.
The club will provide food, but feel free to bring additional snacks to share and most importantly homebrew!
Where: 2617 Cederwood Ave.
When: Sunday, May 6, 2018
At Menace before noon to claim your wort.
The group brew at Chris’ 10 am – 7 pm
This will be an amazing event!
Happy Brewing!
